Heads on a Head . With all the references, beliefs, and imaginations which cannot be separated from his aesthetic taste and intellectual capacity, the seven paintings modified by Dodo has kept challenging his ability to be the negation of Wedhar’s initial images. He obliterates the narratives developed by Wedhar by attaching or deleting particular elements so that they portray different ones as before. For Dodo, a painting can be said completed when he feels that he manages to fade out the traces of Wedhar’s character. Dodo has adopted the elements in Wedhar’s works as the centers to be developed but at the same time he obliterates them in the “Heads on a Head” project.

In this context, I try to reflect on the “Heads on a Head” project. Dodo’s efforts to conquer Wedhar’s character in a piece of canvas are attempts to define his selfness throughout his consciousness that he cannot exist without the existence of the Other. He is fully aware that there are heads on his head and on those heads there are other ones.

This project is Dodo’s efforts to discover his authenticity as a subject. Still, nonetheless, there are some open questions which I intend to leave in this writing. Is Dodo managed to defuse the original version of Wedhar’s works and make us forget them or do Dodo’s works make us recall and like the original ones more? Is the signature and name of a person named Wedhar still required when the purpose of this project is eventually to undermine his aesthetic character? We can think about the answer together with the heads in our heads.
